As long as you can find the mods folder created by mod manager you can copy any file you want into it and select/deselect that file from inside Manager to add or remove it from the game. Any ts4script file you add in this way will show with an error inside mod manager but work fine in game. Also Mod Manager can only cope with 1 level of sub folder, so mods/hair is fine but mods/hair/child won't work. A useful feature of Mod Manager is that you can click on the title of any sub folder to highlight all the files inside that folder so you can select/deselect them in one go. Custom Content Not Loading/Appearing In-Game Some troubleshooting tips for cc not showing up in-game. Downloading and trying to install cc made for Sims 3 will cause issues. Remove all the filters in CAS to help make the cc appear.

Check the cc to see if it needs a mesh to work in-game. Some pieces of cc need meshes to work correctly. - If they are recolors only, you may need the actual mesh if the recolor is someone else's work. If it's clothing related check the tags. Many of the outfits or accessories are set to certain categories, like a beanie might not show up under formal unless you uncheck the 'formal' filter at the top that trims down what shows. Make sure the Mods folder is located in the Documents folder on your C drive and not on OneDrive.

Mods and CC won't work correctly if they're not on your local drive which is your C drive. Not all cc is for CAS (Create-A-Sim), some are actual household items. The cc may not be actual.packages, but.zip files that need to be extracted into the mods folder. Try redownloading the cc items that are still missing, to see if they may appear in-game. If you have sorted your cc into sub-folders, you will need to set your Resource.cfg file accordingly.

The box does NOT contain. • Manual • Code for extra content. If anything is missing from your box or the DVD already has scratches, I would take it back and exchange.

Make sure to keep your receipt to the end of your days. To make sure the game gets installed through DVD, you need to put the DVD in it’s drive first and then go through the installation process. You will need an Internet connection for the following steps. You can turn off Internet once you reach Step 6.

• Put DVD 1 in your drive and wait for autostart to kick in (differs depending on your OS) • Click on Continue. • Choose your language in which you want to install the game. If you don’t get to choose your language, the game is trying to download instead of installing from disc. Log in with your account, choose your language and path and the game will install from DVD. It’s not necessary to be online for this.

After successfully installing the game, you’ll be prompted to go online to activate the computer on your computer (this has nothing to do with activating the game on your account). Put Origin back in online mode and click on Play. The game might need patching.

Do not let this confuse you. It is important to start the installation process from DVD and not by clicking Download on Origin. If you do that, the game will be downloaded despite you having the DVD in your drive. There are several indications how to tell if the game is downloading or installing from disc.

• Put your ear on the DVD drive. You should hear if it’s spinning • Turn off your Internet after step 6. If the installation continues, you’re installing from DVD. • Check on the download speed.

Large number indicate a DVD installation. • Click on the link at the bottom of the Origin window • Check on the MB number If despite all Origin decided to download anyways, cancel by right-clicking on the game and choosing Cancel. Then try again following these steps (you won’t need an active Internet connection since your game should now be activated) • Turn off your Internet • If you already started the download, it’s likely that you’ll need to delete the already downloaded files.
