If their chat support person doesn't give me an activation code, I don't have any choice but to return the retail box and get a refund. I have until Jan 23, 2017 to decide. Amazon is usually pretty good about situations that arise. It what is being said above is accurate about no resolution, I would return it, buy the real tone cable from amazon (any platform--Xbox, Playstation, PC--will worik since it's the same cable for all), and buy it from Steam. I did a quick look, the cable was around $30 to $40US. You may be able to get a used one cheaper. Unfortunately, Steam's Winter sale ended, because Rocksmith 2014 was on sale for $10US.
